# 46. Logical Manipulation ## 46.5. Methodology/Refinements/Sub-species ### 46.5.6. Two wrongs make a right This is the assumption that if one wrong is committed, another one will cancel it out. Example: "The prisoners' conditions are inhumane, but then the prisoners are inhuman criminals". A manipulator justifies a moral evil as a result of an extreme moral jeopardy. This is similar to the way the USA, UK and their collaborators shrugged off their own roles in kidnapping, torture, detention without trial, war crimes, and deceiving their governments and electorates over the issues of Iraq, Afghanistan, and 9/11 etc. They justified their own illegal actions on the basis of claims that the Western world was being threatened. The threats were Saddam Hussein's (fictional) weapons of mass destruction and al-Qaeda's (also fictional) global reach and alleged attack on the World Trade Centre in 2001.
