Neglect of probability This is the inclination to completely disregard probability when making a decision under uncertain conditions. When in doubt, people are often unable to calmly consider the options. A manipulator may leverage a victim's inability to make a rational estimate of the probabilities of various events to persuade the victim to think or behave in a certain irrational way. A victim may prefer an illogical decision to trying to make a reasonable estimate of probability.
