Selection bias This is the distortion of a statistical analysis resulting from a biased method of collecting samples. If the selection bias is not taken into account, then the conclusions which are drawn may be wrong. A manipulator can use this bias to persuade a victim to use a particular sample, and thus alter the results of a study or statistical analysis.
