Bizarreness effect This is the effect that bizarre, unusual or extraordinary events or material are better remembered than common occurrences. A manipulator can use this bias to underline how an event is remembered in the future. This is often used by advertisers to make us remember their product because of the bizarre associations in their advertising, like the use of cartoon characters etc.
