### 52.5.11. Fading affects bias
This is the bias in which an emotion associated with unpleasant memories fades more quickly than the emotion associated with positive events.
A manipulator can use this tendency to persuade a victim or group of victims that something awful from the past "wasn't that bad after all". It's a personalised re-writing of history encouraged by a third party.
