# 52. Manipulation of Memory
## 52.5. Methodology/Refinements/Sub-species
### 52.5.22. Mood-congruent memory bias
This bias involves the improved recall of information congruent with one's current mood. A manipulator detects the mood of a group and delivers messages to that group which correspond with their mood.
An antagonistic subject will tend to remember a statement or sentiment if it is in line with his own animosity whilst the reverse also holds true, a manipulator addressing a highly positive person or group will be remembered if their message is also positive and upbeat.
