Anecdote A religion demonstrates a moral principle by telling a story and showing that a certain moral position causes a desirable or undesirable outcome. This makes the listener believe that a particular moral message is true and adopts the underlying moral position. Very often the anecdotes used are contained in "Holy" Books which have mystical significance and have unchallengeable sources and esoteric origins.
