# 25. Political / organisational tricks ## 25.5. Methodology/Refinements/Sub-species ## 25.5.11. Jujitsu In martial arts, the use of an opponent's weight or force against him is also referred to as judo. It is a strategy which leads to the self-destruction of an opponent. In politics, this is the encouragement of a foe to continue to act in an imprudent way to the point where their behaviour is untenable. This often requires perverse incentives and false rewards and is complicated to achieve. Nagging an opponent on sensitive topics in order to cause an emotional or violent outburst is a good example of political Judo in action.
