It tends to reduce a complex situation to a clear-cut choice between good and evil. The technique is often useful in swaying uneducated audiences. ### 13.6.9. Avoidance of Simplification When faced with simplification, it is often useful to examine other factors and pieces of the proposal or idea, and, as with all other forms of propaganda, it is essential to get more information. Lack of knowledge or nuance is the main weapon of the manipulator here.
